Good Wool: A Holistic approach to sourcing and using local farm yarn

A new lecture by Anna Hunter on the science and strategy behind growing and using good quality wool and how to source it locally. Do a deep dive into the world of wool and learn some of these things: 

  • How sheep nutrition affects wool quality

  • Land management for quality wool and climate change mitigation

  • Understand wool on a cellular level and how this affects your fibre arts practice

  • How to source locally grown wool and what to look for.

This class will include hands on work with locally grown, breed specific wool and yarn samples. (bring needles or hooks to play with samples during the class).
