We offer on-farm classes including an introduction to natural dye, processing and dyeing with indigo, how to grow your own natural dye garden and more. We offer these classes in our outdoor dye studio east of Winnipeg.

This is a great beginner introduction to Natural Dyes and is appropriate for all age and skill levels.
If you would like to try our pre-made Solar Dye Kits you can find them here. If you would like to order extra mill end skeins for your own dyeing projects you can find those here (200g bundles).


Learn all about natural dyeing on wool during this hands-on experiential workshop. (accessible to anyone - no skill level required).
This introduction to natural dyes will equip you with the skills and knowledge to start your own natural dye practice. We will do more than just dyeing yarn, we will learn aboutdye gardens, and why breed matters when it comes to dyeing fibre.
Introduction to Natural Dye workshop includes:
4 × 30g skein of yarn (worsted or DK) pre mordanted. You can dye 4 colours (extra skeins for dyeing available for $15/skein, or mini’s for $5/skein)
Natural dye stuff (fresh or dried depending on chosen colors)
Instructional worksheet and hands on help with dye process
Tour of sheep farm, dye gardens and wool mill

Accessibility: We are constantly working to make our facilities accessible. The driveway, walkways, dye studio and outdoor workshops spaces are grass and gravel and accessible by wheelchair. The outhouse, indoor studio space and wool mill all have one step access. We are working hard to improve accessibility on the farm, thank you for your patience.
