Sheep & Wool Camp 2026 Logistics

Hello and thanks for applying to Sheep & Wool Camp 2026. Here are a few more details that will help you plan for a successful and enjoyable camp.

Please read carefully to the accommodations and travel sections and please reach out to connect@sheepandwoolcamp.com if you have further questions.

We have limited spots, so we encourage you to secure your spot with payment soon. You can find official payment registration here.  If you are applying with a spouse or a farm partner I have that link here. (Payment options will be available by December 20, 2025)

Transportation

Site Farms
The two sites are 1/2mile from each other, and there will be some back and forth travel between the two sites. We will provide all necessary transportation between the two sites during the week.

Shuttle Bus Arrival and Departure
We will offer one complimentary pick up from James Richardson International Airport to camp on Sunday, June 14th at 2pm and we will provide shuttle bus return to the airport on Friday, June 19th at 2pm. Once you have secured your spot with payment we will finalize details of pick up and drop off.

If you are arranging your own transportation. We are approximately 1 hour drive from the James Richardson Airport in Winnipeg.  The airport does accommodate flights from all Canadian cities and you can easily rent a vehicle from the airport.

If you are driving you can find maps to the host sites Long Way Homestead and Ferme Fiola Farm. The roads are all paved to our farms, with the exception of the last 1/2 km which is a gravel road, but generally in a good driving state.

Accommodations

A camping spot at one of our farms is included in the registration fee. These are the options available to you at our on-farm camping

  • We have 2-person prospector tents available for you to use (you are required to bring your own sleeping bag, ground sheet and other comforts for camping)

  • Bring your own tent and camping set up in our camping spot

  • Space to park your camper or camper van (there is water available but no sewage hook up)

  • On-site out house and outdoor shower (it is refreshingly cool and rustic).

  • Picnic table and access to shared fridge for breakfast and snack items.

On-Site Cabin Rentals

If camping isn’t your thing we do have three on-site rentals available. These are available first come first serve and you must secure these rentals on your own (in addition to Sheep Camp Registration)

Long Way Homestead Cabin - You can see pictures and the description of the cabin here.  This cabin has one queen sized loft bed (please note it requires a steep ladder to access).  The only washroom facilities are an outhouse. There is a mini fridge and hotplate cooking area. There is an outdoor shower. This cabin is not on the same site as the other tent sites. Book the cabin here.

Ferme Fiola Cabin - Christel has a rustic little cabin on her farm that has a set of single bed bunk beds, mini fridge, hot plate for cooking and the cutest porch for watching the sunset. There is an outhouse and outdoor shower facility and is on the same site as the other tent sites.  Contact Christel directly to book her cabin fermefiolafarm@gmail.com

Ferme Fiola RV Rental - Christel’s family has a large RV that can be rented during the week. It includes a queen sized bed, mini kitchen, shower and washroom. Contact Christel directly to book the RV fermefiolafarm@gmail.com

Off-Site Cabin Rentals

Wild Oaks Campground is a 12 minute drive from the farm. You must have your own transportation to come and go from the campground if you choose this option.
