This is a 20g package of dried Cosmos (Cosmos sulpherus) dye flowers. Grown on our farm in Eastern Manitoba. Cosmos will produce a beautiful range of light orange to deep orange, it will also provide deep colours of green and brown when over-dyed. The flowers come in a lined and sealed paper bag.

These are recommended amounts to achieve a range of colour 10g - 20g of dried flowers per 100g of fibre.

Colour Fastness: Cosmos has good light-fastness and great wash-fastness

Possible Modifiers: Common modifiers to use alongside cosmos are indigo (bright greens) and ferrous or Iron (darker greens). It is recommended to over-dye only the lighter shades of yellow to ensure green hues.
